Sauntering Up Sixth....

The long Dexel to Irvington block of the Old Nogales Hwy, transitions through railroad tracks, weeds and desert, salvage yards and auto repair shops, country bars, and restaurants to a city park and the El Pueblo social services complex of buildings at Irvington. The photos above are all from the north end of the block.

The Old Nogales Hwy changes its name to 6th Street at Irvington.

That "guy" really knows how to strut his stuff. But, quite a fool; apparently he can't read the name of the restaurant!

I'm loving this. My favorite is the one with the beat up shacks or trailers and mountains in the back.

The rooster stands next to the side door of the Rooster Inn, a bar.

Hi Mary - It was a salvage yard for trailers, most of them at least partially gutted or with parts removed/damaged, though the sign said something about trailer storage. Businesses down there tend to take on a kind of nebulous multi identity personna.
