Weekend Morning at the Tucson Museum of Art

The Tucson Museum of Art offers art classes for children on weekends and this mother and daughter are headed in that direction.

The adobe building is La Casa Cordoba which is just down the street from the museum. It is one of the oldest standing structures in Tucson. At the time its original rooms were built, Tucson was a Mexican village, having been before that a Hohokam settlement for several thousand years and then part of the Spanish Colonial empire until Mexico declared its independance in 1821.

I love the look of the wood above the door and window. I especially like the one above the door. It really has character.

Hi Nerissa - I love it too. And the blue trim on the white building. It is a building of character.
